The researchers observed a lower level of cortisol in the umbilical cord and changes in cortisol, which regulates genes in both placental and fetal tissue in women who had high intake of choline.

"The findings suggest that high intake of choline during pregnancy may counteract some detrimental effects of prenatal stress. Such behavior, neuroendocrine, and metabolic disorders," said lead researcher, Marie Caudill, PhD, of Cornell University.

Caudill revealed that choline has tremendous benefits for pregnant womenbecause it has been shown to play an important role in fetal and infant brain development, affecting the area of the brain responsible for memory and learning ability.

In addition, studies have shown women with low dietary choline has four times greater risk of having babies with neural tube defects, like spina bifida. In fact, other studies have also shown additional benefits of choline include breast cancer prevention, anti-inflammatory, and brain function.

According to Caudill, eggs are a rich source of choline, because it contains 125 milligrams in an egg. It is found exclusively in the egg yolks and egg whites instead. The findings are published in the latest issue of the Journal of the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology.

The scientists claim that eating two pieces of cheese a day can reduce type two diabetes by 12 percent. They believe the cheese may actually help prevent type 2 diabetes, a disease that is often triggered by being overweight.

This finding denies the current health guidelines suggest that limiting or reducing the consumption of dairy products and foods high in fat to help prevent disease.

Researchers from Britain and the Netherlands examined the diet 16 800 healthy adults and 12 400 patients with type 2 diabetes in eight European countries, including Britain.

The study, published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that volunteers who ate at least 55 grams of cheese a day (about two slices), 12 percent lower risk from suffering type 2 diabetes. This is the same as if we eat 55 grams of yoghurt a day.

Over the years, the UK National Health Service or National Health Service (NHS) has been advised to not eat red meat, milk, or cookies because they contain too much saturated fat which believe will increase high-cholesterol and the risk of diabetes.

But the researchers, including academics from the Medical Research Council, Cambridge, said that not all saturated fat is dangerous. Some saturated fats may even be beneficial.

Was Jose Cordoba from Yale University and Erich Astudillo from Universidad de Santiago, Chile which claimed to have discovered the chemical molecule called 'Keep 32'. Molecule which named for the number of human teeth were claimed to be able to get rid of all the bacteria that cause cavities in just 60 seconds.

Cordoba and Astudillo itself has been doing research since 2005 to find a molecule and successfully get a provisional patent for the molecule.

Now both were submit proposals to use the molecule tooth hygiene products after doing experiments on humans during 14-18 months. Both believe this product can make a profit 300 million U.S. dollars in the first five years only.

"These molecules not only be inserted into the gum, but also in products such as toothpaste, mouthwash, dental floss, chewing, night gel which be kept in the mouth for at least 60 seconds," said Astudillo which also CEO Top Tech Innovations, a company that holds Keep 32 patents molecules as reported from CBSNews.

Astudillo hopes to offer his inventionto companies that make tooth hygiene products such as Colgate, Proctor or Gamble, as well as candy manufacturers such as Hershey or Cadbury.

Although some say that this molecule remains to be proven in order to be used in a variety of methods without giving a specific health consequences as well as the fluoride, the researchers remain optimistic.
