1. Eating Seaweed

Japanese people have a habit to consume tuna, mackerel and salmon. These three fish were believed contain omega-3 fatty acids, which can reduce the risk of heart disease and breast cancer.

3. Drink Green Tea Or Ocha

According to the research, people who drink six cups of tea a day had 36 percent lower risk of heart disease. Antioxidants may also reduce the risk of osteoporosis and cancer.

Numerous studies have also said that the chemical compounds and the antioxidant EGCG catechins found in green tea, could accelerate the metabolism of the human body. Metabolism is the process of converting food nutrients and calories into energy that the body needs to perform the activity.

If a person's metabolism increases, it will be easier for him to lose weight. Green tea can also reduce up to 70 calories a day.

4. Eating Slowly

In Japan, everyone was taught to enjoy every bite of food. Why eating slowly is good for health? That's because the brain takes about 20 minutes to state that the stomach is full.

5. Avoid Eating On Large Plates

Japanese people are accustomed to eating with smaller plates and bowls. The use of chopsticks also makes Japanese people eat little and slowly. The habit of choosing small plates are believed to help control someone eating.
